Welcome to the ThisisMinecraft homepage! This is the website of the ThisisMinecraft Minecraft server. We're a community of players from around the world who play play Minecraft SMP together.

6/08/2011: 2 weeks till New Server IP will be released. Sorry for the mishap.

9/6/2011: Lol, it's been a month since anything regarding this server has actually been announced. Due to loads of technical problems, Server will not be reopening on the 28th of June. Instead, Expect it to open somewhere early-July.

The vid I posted on youtube about the server about 2months ago (Is found in 'How to join us' section) has now got over 2500 views. Combine that with the post on a Minecraft-server-forum somewhere, well, let's just I've got about 80 completed registration-forms on my TiMC email address, It's going to take some time to sort all those out O.O.

As said, the GM team and I will be working hard to get the server fully running with new features by early-July. We're going to be starting anew; then we'll just re-add updated versions of the current plugins+Loads of new ones. The old server map will still be used but the GM team and I will tend to it (Remove Griefing, Improve Infrastructure, add plots so new players can choose land to build on, GMs will also be trained to use commands and how to do their job more efficiently :P). Will also improve security, website, etc.

I don't really know if people from before the server was closed actually look here anymore.. Maybe a FEW loyal ones who check every month.. Just know those who stay loyal will get a lot outta this if they stay loyal, as we will be adding more ranks and maybe even Donor rank in the future.. Expect maybe a twitter if we get that big.. We'll let time tell :P

12/05/2011: Woah, been some time :P
Anyways, It's been like a month of the server down and to be honest, I'm not sure who even checks this website anymore, but to those who do: I have to admit, I miss it. I actually had fun running this place, I'm not going to go on why, as that'll be kinda' long, but all I can say is that it was good fun. My internet looks to finally be fixed by now, and thankfully, it's faster than my previous one ^^.

My exams officially end on the 28th for me, which means the server should be up on the 29th. As it is me and the GM team are working to make sure the server works on my internet, looking okay soo far. Also, we can maybe even expect a new GM soon to join our ranks, more on that soon. 
I've been on loads of different SMP servers over the past few weeks. I've learned a LOT in server management and even have a few ideas for our server, expect loads of new features when the server reopens.
Finally, I'm thinking of getting a computer off this site. It'll use 2x 4GB ram and will have Intel i7 Processor with 3.3GHz. That should be good enough to accommodate my gaming needs and the server, I'll look to add 8gb more ram in the future. More details on that in the future aswell. That'll be it, See ya soon :D.

24/04/2011: As said in the forum post, the server will be down for a week due to loads of major technical issues.

For those who don't check the forums, I apologize for not posting this update earlier, but at least you know now (And I still really suggest that you check this updates page, and the forums, just the 'server news' part of the forums will be enough). 

When I return from my holiday, my first priority is to get the server back and running again, I have the GM team and some close friends to help test that it works. 

Also, me and the GM team will be discussing the future of the server in some time soon. I've had a look at a few creative and SMP (Survival Multiplayer, items are mined and houses are made, Rp normally takes place) servers and I have to say,  they really live up to their names. 
Creative servers are like drugs, the whole place seems like a fairyland. Why? It's got every single colour plastered everywhere, you got floating houses made of gold in mid air, at least 2 artificial rainbows, at least 10 statues, seriously, they unleashed their imagination alright..
SMP, which is my favourite by far, is really how I imagined/wanted the server to be. Currently we're creative because we can spawn items but also SMP, as our rules along with the way I structure our city keep it SMP-like.

I look to change this soon, trust me, I had ssssoo much fun in SMP, not only do I spend more time playing because items needs to be mined, but I actually feel proud when I build and with what I've built. This is also reduces the amount of errors and problems me and the GM team will face but you guys as players will have more fun, plus the amount of other benefits the server will enjoy is also good.

Sorry for dragging this on, It has been some time since I posted an update anyways. If you've read this far, then you're up to date (Thanks aswell :P). Don't forget, all this decisions are in the Alpha stages, and may not go through, furthermore I've got exams to worry about.

16/04/2011: Arggh.. As said in-game to some of you, My internet provider is doing some 'maintenance' to the internet in my area. From last Tuesday till Thursday, I had 30mins-1hours of internet for it to go down for 5-10 mins, 
now it's 5-10mins of internet for 30mins-1hour of no internet.. This will probably improve later on today/on Sunday (I hope) and will be almost gone by Sunday/Monday.

This, is driving me nuts out of boredom, and is also stopping the server from being up. Once again, I apologize to all who can't access the server, especially new players.. Internet should be normal again on Tuesday (Internet provider (Virgin) told me)(hopefully they're right).. 

Also, the ranks have been changed, please head over to the FAQs and read the 2nd bar for info on what's been changed. This update is being posted from my phone's internet, by the way >.>. 

14/04/2011: Okay, I've managed to fix the problem where no-one can open doors or even use the command /item, or even do anything but move and talk. I think it's because I may have scripted wrongly somewhere causing all other plugins to go haywire.. meh. I had to revert to a previous backup to fix damage. Not much was lost, just some water I balanced, a few plugins I installed, and that's about it. Also, Blaze, only go on 'blaze5x' as 'blaze' is bugged to the point where I have to remove it off the whitelist due to the trouble it's causing me :p.

On the bright side, congratz' to Blaze to being promoted to a Veteran :D! 

I will get to re-scripting the plugins again soon, and maybe installing some new ones, all is for the future to tell. Also, the FAQs has been updated, along with some tiny bits of the site.
I've posted an important forum post here about the future of the server, please read and maybe comment if possible.

12/04/2011: Yeah, so internet was down since Friday. It was finally fixed this morning o.o. I would of went crazy, thankfully I had San Andreas and AoM to keep me entertained :3 Aahh classics :D.

5bits of information regarding the server:

(1) Server can't be on 24/7 on my bro's comp, (still haven't sorted out cooling system(Read old updates for info)). All looked dull till I realized something- My sis's comp. Since whole family is gone(Forum post regarding this is here), I'll use that to keep server up, when my bro's comp can't stay on any longer.
(2) My mom didn't take my bro's comp as she has previously said, so I can ppllay and keep seerrveer upp ;D (Same forum post as before, click here to read) 
(3) Internet's fixed.
(4) May not be able to rescript plugins (Update to 1.4 made some stop working o.o) soon, but it will be done (Loads of work) in the future.
(5) We pay change IP+May go retail (Non-pirated Minecraft), keep glued to updates and maybe forums for more info on that.

Well, that's about it, will look to improve site wherever I can, see ya' in-game.

Okay, decided not to do work today over laziness, in return:
All plugins have been re-scripted and website has been updated (New pics, updated FAQs).

Also, the code that gives you items has been changed (Which is why I updated FAQs):

3/04/2011: Okay, So my bro's comp is acting up. After I had a look, it turns out the fan seems to dusty to preoperly cool the computer. As it is I have to blow into it every 5-10mins to keep it from overheating o.o. Anyways, server can't be kept up as much as we want it, I'll make sure to fix it by Friday next week.

2/04/2011: AMIGAWD. THEY ADDED PET DOGS/WOLVES!  To those who don't know, dogs are my most Favorite animals, and I look forward to getting my first ever one soon :D:D:D:D (real life). Upon hearing this, I went crazy, over the course of 30mins, I updated my Minecraft, port forwarded my IP for the server, reinstalled Hamachi (Server settings and users are all still on it, Thank God) updated the server so that it works with current minecraft, updated a few mods and plugins, and now, is about to scavenge our world for a pet dog/wolf :D:D:D. So, as of now, the server is On! :D

1/04/2011: Well, moving in was rather.. okay-ish I guess? lol. The internet, which I have mentioned before will be 2.5x faster than the previous one, is pissing me off though. I set everything up right, only to notice that the modem wasn't connecting to the internet (Network map told me). I tinker/meddle around with the network in boredom/despair only to screw it up. Guess what? The fix to it was when my step dad plainly connected one wire into that thing-ama-bob inside the wall and everything was fixed.. I had to revert my damage over a few hours of annoyance..

Well, the internet is recovering and went from hardly working 15mbps to a still-bad-but-atleast-working 30mbps (Translation: 15mbps on the comp is probably 1-5mbps out of 50mbps speedwise. I'ma give it some time and wait for the internet to get better, when ready, I shall port forward and the server should be back on again. Downtime? Expect this weekend + we may have to change the IP, as I had to uninstall Hamachi in order to get the internet working for me >:

Will fix right now, will hopefully see you guys on next week/this week..

30/03/2011: PLEASE NOTE:If you kept yourself up to date with the forums, you'll know that I'm moving (Click here for more details). Expect the server to shutdown in about 24hours time (Wednesday evening, GMT 0) and when shut down, can be down for as long as till Saturday, however Thursday and Friday evening sound more likely.

20/03/2011: Woah, been some time since I posted something. A LOT has happened over the past week, even though slow (Player-wise), a lot of renovation has happened to the server. Due to school work, I wasn't capable of doing as much as I wanted (On weekdays, I had on average of an hour of free time!). But still, about 8 plugins has been installed over the past week (Weekends, thank God!), along with various renovations to the server, including new, roads to new zones, along with the opening of a mall and bed & breakfast, and a office building that I still have under construction. I look forward to adding and hosting some PvP, Rp, Zombie Apocalypse mods and events all in town. Don't forget loads of new buildings, website updates, plugins and even a new how-to-join vid. A new IP may also be used (more on that in the future). Also, I have some pressing issues to announce over the week, but don't expect soo much of me, I have lots of ICT cwk due this week.. Have a nice Monday Y'all (Try to, I know we all won't :P /: ).

12/03/2011: After several hours of work,  I've finally made 2 dedicated videos on how to join our server. It has all the information needed on how to get Minecraft for free, How to play online, and how to Join our server. The first vid will teach you how to download and install the game and Hamachi software, whilst the second one has information on common errors, along with extra details on entering the server. 

12/03/2011: Woah.. The server's been empty lately.. Me and Sly have discussed it, and have decided to start up a temporary SMP server. As you may have seen on previous updates, we may be a cross SMP and classic/creative server. I am doing that now to make sure this server keeps on being fun. Our world, with all the farms, my unfinished railway station, the big sphere in the sky, along with all homes etc has been saved and backed up. We will continue with that on a future date. For now, enjoy Survival Multiplayer (SMP), Which is basically the same thing with no Gm commands to help, Monsters are on, etc This leaves a collect and build in the daytime and survive in the night time game mode. Enjoy :D.   

7/03/2011: I'm having ideas of adding a comment box seeing that I can't add memberships (Not available on website tools). A comment box will allow for people to make comments/suggestions/Criticize me (-.-) on whatever updates I'm planning to do/Done. Alongside this, as said on the previous update, I'll also be updating the 'Joining us' section with a new vid (that I'll be posting on my youtube page), will be adding some instructions aswell. This will allow people to join our server with more ease, extending our community ^^. Ranks will hopefully be added in the future with a better rules section, with maybe more pics in the future. Woah, I'm scared of the work already :P. Finally, I'll also be reviewing the allowing of OP powers to regular players. I'll be doing research on it, but keep your expectations low, I doubt it will work out.

6/03/2011: A whitelist has been implemented. All old users can now gain access to server, and new ones/users that I forgot to add are going to have to Email me at manufreak101@gmail.com to be added. I've reverted to a previous save to fix the damage caused yesterday, all guilty users have also been banned. The website has also been updated, and a new 'Joining us' video+instructions along with membership panel will be added/improved in the future.

28/02/2011:Well, It's the beginning of the week.. again. I got school on Tuesday (:D) and I'm sure the lot of you has something similar, but on Monday. I doubt anyone will be on during the week, but nevertheless, I'll keep the server up for most hours everyday, just in case:). It'll be full time on, on Friday late afternoon (GMT time(London)). Hopefully everyone will return and we can get LOADS of new players, all whilst having minimal Lag. If we can achieve that, than this server can progress.. 27/02/2011:Arrghh, looks like I made a mistake. I placed the 'World' folder on my corrupted mem stick and by the looks of it it's gone... All we can do is hope that the saved game remains in the future; if not we're converting to a SMP server (Maybe temporarily). I may also have 2 servers up: One SMP, One creative. We'll let time tell..

1/03/2011(2):(1) Okay, done. I didn't succeed in installing a admin mod (Which means I won't get a nice message of the day, or be able to change the spawn point ): ) But I did get the server back up. I don't think these mods will work when our minecraft is pirated anyways, so, yeah. (2) Also, I now know how to change worlds we are in. Which means we can be a Classic/creative, AND SMP (Survival Multiplayer) :D (3) Finally, I'm going to introduce a whitelist along with a membership panel on this website soon (May have to change website host), this should make it so no idiots come in and wreck our world, whilst we remain playing :). New Rules may be introduced soon aswell. 

1/03/2011: /: Some idiot came in and burnt down my hotel along with various other buildings.. He even found a supply of TNT and made craters.. Furthermore my brother noticed the damage and added to it.. I also attempted to install some admin mods to 'extend' the fun, only leading to problems o.o. I'ma have to delete the current world (Needs to be anyways) and by maximum this weekend, we'll have a fresh new server to play on with hopefully a mod which will promise new features for me ^^
